Cylinder Sleeves

Hi: I have a 134CI engine from a 600 series tractor, A few years ago we removed the engine to do a rebuild. I took it to be bored and the machinist said it was too far gone. Shouldn"t there be sleeves in this engine? It did not look to me to that the piston had worn through a sleeve or anything. My question is do all the 134CI engines have sleeves?

Ford changed to a parent bore engine in the late 50s. If it is a parent bore block a machine shop should be able to bore it and install sleeves to bring it back to the standard bore.

Could the parent bore block be verified by the serial or casting #?

if the machine has a spin on oil filter native, not an adapter, it should be parent bore.

Yes, the casting number is C0NN 6015 G for the 134 engine block.
