TW35 - "Transmission oil too hot" light comes on yesterday w/ear-splitting alarm. Goes off. Tries to light up for 2 hrs, but doesn"t quite make it ("winks" at me constantly). Bring tractor home today to wash out oil cooler. Notice when lifting bushhog (14" mounted), a spray of oil out the right side over the battery. Have Dad get in & lift so I can watch, and it appears hard line going from engine driven pump to hyd. filter on rt side of housing has a leak. The leak is, of course, in a tough spot to reach. Looks like the brake line rubbed it. I"ve posted a picture. Brake line is visible if you squint. How do I get this line off to patch or replace?

Ok. Here's pic this time - I hope.

It probably would have, but I took the plate off the floor of the cab and I could see. Actually, it was the pressure line behind the big suction line that had rubbed against the brake line & got a hole. Wasn't too hard to get loose. Knocked the suction line loose to make room to swing wrench, loosened the line at the pump, then sat on the ground w/back against rt. rear wheel and loosened other end overhead. Hard part was getting line out - so many bends. Ended up cutting it in half & plan to replace w/hydraulic hose of equivalent strength. Should be much easier to route and will tie it away from anything it might rub against.
