B axle seals

replacing the axles, seals and felts in my 1941 B. I tapped the new seals into place using the bearing and a hard plastic hammer as a seal driver. got the seals about half way seated. will tightening the axle nut and pulling the bull gear against the bearing pull them the whole way in? don't want to damage them. I don't have a seal driver big enough.

Go buy a long piece of all thread & suck it in place through the
housing. Get the big washers or make your own. Wood works
for that

tried your suggestion and got them seated just past the bearing cup, about 1/4" between the washer and the seal, is this acceptable or do they have to be the whole way in the housing?

using cherry wood and it keeps cracking before the seal moves, I'll try oak or walnut.
