I have recently purchased a 530 and wondered if someone with a registry could tell me the build date and anything else it might say. S.N. 5309497 Thanks

Boy, that print in the Production Registry gets smaller all the time. Your tractor was shipped March 3, 1960 thru the Omaha branch to Sidney, Nebraska. Have fun with your 530!

James Thanks for the info, I knew it was a 1960 was just curious about when it was built and where it went to. I thought I had read where there weren't many built after February so I was wondering where this one fell into line at. Thanks

Did all 530 JD come with 36" rear tires..?

I have a 520 with 38" but I have seen 520s with 36" rears..

Must have been an option, when new.??

I am sure the 36" was to manage to label the 530 as a "3-PlowTractor", but slowed it some in Road-Gear..

Something to think about:

I have seen 530s with 36" rear tires and 15" Front tires that give the impression of having been Lowered..!
Walk right up and look into the Radiator..!

according to

http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=jd&th=201930%253E

"These are the sizes listed in the original owner's manual,12.4/36--12.4/38--13.9/36--11/38"

Not this one as these are 12.4x38

I mow a lot, have a 72" Woods on the 3-Point.

Sometimes damp conditions are tough, so I put the old worn-down 15.5x38" from my 720 D on the 520..

They a Great and since they only require 4 lbs of air pressure, all the cracks closed right up..!
