I picked up a 1951 B a weeek ago... towed it out of a barn, on to and off a wrecker, the tractor rolled fine. Now I cant seem to put the tractor in neutral to move it around... anyone have any ideas?

the brakes are completely disassembled at the moment, if it is stuck in gear what is the best way to repair it?

just went out and check, you can move the shifter into 4th and reverse easily, 1st and 2nd are tough and you can slide the shifter to the left but not up and into 3rd 5th or 6th gear...

I'm not completely sure but I think if the brake assembly is out of the tractor or possibly part of the way out gears can move around wrong in there and cause gears not to mesh up.

Tyson,
Sounds like the high low shifter is in two gears at once. When you slide the shift lever along the bottom of the quadrant it shifts it from high to low and vice-versa. Usually they get stuck in nuetral, but I suppose it's possible to be in high and low at once, which will lock up the tractor. Good Luck!
