40 series Crossover cable

I have a 4040 and need to replace the crossover battery cable under the cab. What is the best way to do this?

There's enough room to slide old batt cable out and new one in place.

Re21741 $35.28 39" long,, I tie a string to the old one, and use that to pull the new one through, works okay "unless" there is a strap clamp on it...
