Guys Hello, A friend of mine has this tractor. It sat for long time. Got it running, Starts right up, idles and runs smooth. But will not throttle up. Takes it a couple of minutes to get to 1500, and after it warms up a while will get to 2500.
Any insite on this would be appreciated, Thanks-Ed

Rack in injection pump is sticky. Plunger pump bolts to side of engine and plungers are operated by extra cams on the camshaft.

NOT sure if it will loosen up with time /fuel additives and perhaps an engine oil change!

Bob , Hello, Thanks for the response, I will pass this on, Do you by chance know how much pressure the lift pump should make? -ed

I could find no lift pump listed in parts. Is fuel return line unobstructed back to tank?

Jim Hello, I haven"t seen this tractor, He said it has a little pump mounted on the rear of the injection pump, I know a lot of inj. pumps will not run right unless the lift pump feeds it fuel under pressure . He replaced all the fuel lines.
Thanks for your response. -ed

I don't see a lift pump on the inj pump.

I'm not real familiar with these, but this is the only pump jdparts shows. Catalog #2263 - 955 Compact utility, Correct?

Hello, Thanks for the pic. That's more like it,Do you by chance know how much pressure the Lift pump is suppose to put out. Thanks again, -ed

Sorry for my misinformation. Now that Adrian pointed me in the correct direction I suggest to remove hose from fitting(parts key #13) to see if fuel comes out fitting with engine running. If no to very little fuel comes out of fitting then I suggest to remove valve(parts key #16) and run engine to check for rpm's.

make sure the fuel shut off solenoid linkage is adjusted correctly,Disconnect link then crank engine momentary and leave key on. This will hold the shut off plunger in the solenoid body while you adjust the link. Now while holding the shut off lever in the injection pump towards the linkage you previously disconnected, adjust the link so the pin slips back in. I am not saying this is your problem but I did fix one the other day that acted the same way and it might be worth a try. Good luck

Hello, He changed all the fuel lines, But didn't mention the Filter or replacing old fuel, We tend to overlook the obvious on problems like this. lol
Thanks, I will mention this to him.-ed
