Brass Carbs

What years of the Model A had brass tags and brass carbs. I know the very early ones did but don't know when they stopped using brass. Thanks

The last known brass tag is 424150, and the last DLTX-8 brass carb is 424850, both just into the 36 model year. The tag change is not documented as positive but 424150 is the current last known.

Yeah I know. It's one of many possible errors in the parts books.
Folks who have done the research, and read the decision copies and such, all say it was 424850.
Only way to know for sure is for someone out there with an "original" A between these two numbers to speak up and say otherwise.
All parts books say that 488000 was a major break point, and the beginning of the 1940 model year, and that many parts changed at that point. However there were approximately 300 A's interspersed in the first three months that had strictly 39 model A parts, including the A1140R maincase and 12 spline axles.
Most of the errors in the parts books are usually just off by one of the middle digits, like this one for carbs.
