3020 runs cold temp.

I been running my 3020 for over a week now since I got it .sure dosent warm up fast. All I been doing is working in the woods with it not much heavy work.The temp gauge barely moved yesterday so today I put a new themostate in it ran it for 20mn. at 1900 the needle came up just a little thermostate never opened.Do these 3020s run that cold, it will never warm up here in the winter at that rate.

If its a diesel it needs to work to get a temp up. It will eventually. Might check to see if temp gauge is working ok. Cold weather you will need to cover side screens .

It's a gasser but I got it to come up half way to the middle of normal put a piece of cardboard if front of radiator thermostate opened everything is good Thanks Doug R

Engine could be operating at correct temp and the temperature gauge has failed.
Measure with a candy thermometer inside the rad.

3020 runs cold temp.
