70 pony motor

Pony motor runs good the pinion engages as it should but its like the clutch just went out?
It"s been working fine..No slipage or engaging problems. The pinion just isn"t turning at all.
Its like the pinion drive has been disconnected from the clutch. Is there a shear pin in this drive somewhere?Help
Thanks George

Nope no shear pin, must be clutch went out. It might start turning the pinion again if the clutch plates get jambed in there, but it will turn all the time and you wont get it to engage.

Just had a thought, take the cover off the top of the pony trans and see if a pin didnt fall out of the linkage.

IIRC, when my 70D did that, a spring had broken. I am certain I was able to make the repair without any major surgery on the tractor.
