Don"t know the answer to your question, but here is a link to a discussion about somebody else that had the B747R sides. Do your sides have the holes to support the shutters?

B747R discussion

B396R is the correct radiator side piece for all unstyled B,BR,BO tractors.

I can't find a part# B747R in the unstyled or styled B catalogs or the Numerical Index PC-100 (6-50).

Is your radiator cap in the center or on the left side of the tank top?

ok this is what i found out today i guess the B747R radiaitor was on the real early unstyled B's and the the other part number was on the later ones . i was comparing them today and the difference is the thickness of the casting on the top and bottom pieces of the radiator the B747R does not have holes for the front shutter but i will just drill them. otherwise everything else is the same. thanks for your help

I don't doubt what you say, but where did you get the info you found out today?

In your original post you mentioned problems with the upper water pipe and the steering rod. How are you going to get around those problems using the B747R radiator?

i called MCgrew
i actually tryed the steering rod this morning and it clears by about 1/8 inch and the water pipe will work its only off a little
i measured the casting this morning on both part numbers and it about 1/8 thicker on the top and bottom castings so total its a 1/4 inch it will work i just had a brand new core put in this radiator and didnt want to go through the hassle of taking it all apart again
