Sorry, nuther OT gun question

I have a 1022 that is about 2 yrs old. Noticed something today that may have been there all along but I hadn't seen. There is a separation of about 3/32 between the barrel and the receiver. It has not been shot all that much. Is this normal to the 1022 or is it coming apart. FYI: This is the cammo model. DO NOT use chemical spray cleaners on this model. The spray will remove the applique. I thought it was cool, should have gone with the stainless.

I know the barrels are changeable .. Not sure how.. Maybe try to turn it in.. I'll have to look at mine today..

There are Allen head screws on the underside of the barrel. Sounds like yours may have worked loose. Snug them up and see if the barrel doesn't draw back in.

It is hard to imagine it working right and not blowing cases if it has that much headspace.

If the barrel doesn't tighten with two allen screws I would call Ruger. They may have you send it back and I have seen them do the repairs and only charge for the shipping and charge nothing for parts and labor.
