$608.64, WHAT?!

Hi All,

Thought you'd enjoy. Just got my new rims to the tire shop, got them mounted, loaded, and ready to roll. Price, $608.64, WHAT?! The first price I was quoted was 2-11.2x28, mounted, and loaded, $313.00. Oh, generic tires. Well, the tire shop forgot this and put on Good Years. I am now waiting to see the final price (as the tire shop reconfigures the price).

Am I off base on thinking $600+ would be way too much, even for Good Years??

Let me be the next to agree. Take them off.
I just paid only $520 for two new 6 ply 11.2x28 B.F. Goodrich rear tires AND two goodyear front tires.

Doesn't matter. If you were quoted $313 then $608 is way too high. I'd like to hear what they decide to do.

If it were me, I'd tell them that $313 is all I'm going to pay. If they want to take the Goodyears off and put on the tires I was quoted, fine. If they don't want to spend any more time and effort then they can leave the Goodyears on, but I'm still paying what I was quoted. You shouldn't have to pay for their mistake.

I agree. I'd make them take them off, or eat the cost. Most of that $608.64 is just paying for the name.
