Watch cleaning

I bought a ladies watch at an estate sale and when I opened it to replace the RW320 battery, there was greenish corrosion around the battery contact.
What can I use to remove it without damaging the watch?

DubYeDeeForty and a Q-tip ought to take care of it.

If you can get a soft eraser in there, that's your best bet.

Like the one on a pencil, but maybe softer.

Vinegar usually works well for battery acid corrosion.
