Well first off a lot more info from you. 6 or 12 volts??? What have or have you not done to it. Did it just start doing this or has it been a problem for a long time. Lack of info makes it hard for us to help you help your self. First thing tor do is check spark. Has to be a blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. Next pull the carb drain plug and let it flow for a few minutes, catch the gas to make sure it does not have dirt/water/rust in it then post back what you find

When it quits, immediatly determine if it has a healthy spark at the plugs.
No or poor spark = ignition problems
good spark,= likely fuel supply problems.
Remove the plug in the bottom of the carb and see if you have a strong continuous fuel flow.

Thanks to all for info. I am a novice mechanic. A friend came by and found the problem right off. Gas was coming out of one side of gas flow tube from tank. Cleaned out
and runs fine. Just wasn't getting enough gas. I'll know better the next time.

Just for future discussion that "gas flow tube from tank" is called the fuel line.
