1270 / 1370 / 1570

What were the major differences in these tractors? I thought they all ran the 504. Noticed that service manuals seem to cover all three models together. Thanks in advance.

1270 had a 451 turbo same as the 1170 and 1175.

Rear end in 1570 is heavier, I think there is extra powershift plates and spider gear.

I've seen EARLY 1370's with the 451 but may have been a transplant.

12 was a 451, 13 was a 504, 15 had a 504 with screw in injectors, 13s were pencil. Not sure on rear end and powershift but I think the 15 is heavier

12 and 13's almost the same except for engine. 451 in 12's and 504 in 13's. Could have been slight diffs in PS I really never compared. 15's had a 504 but different heads mainly due to different injectors. Had more plates in PS, different ring and pinion, extra gear in the diff and different sun gears in the final drive and more small things. Rod.

Injection pumps were diferrent too. 12 and 13 had Bosch 2000 series A size with adjustable tappets for phase timing adjustment. 1570 had Bosch 3000 series A size with larger tappets that were shim adjusted.
