530 Hesston

Lower roller on left side of baler standing behind it. Just about all of the bigger bearings on this one have big keys with a ear on the end. The key runs horizontal with the shaft. I tried to catch the ear with a crow bar and it just slips off. There is also a lock collar outside of the bearing.

They're called gibb keys, there are a variety of ways to pull them. pry bars, lady slipper pullers, of varying sort, and penetrating oil are what you need to start with. The manual has a good description of how to pull them.

Manual for our Hesston haybine says to hit the sprocket onto the shaft to loosen the key, then pry it out.

Have to be careful not to pean the sprocket or shaft so it'll slide off once the key is out.

Never had to do it myself yet, but that's the theory.
