DC4 VIN tag

Help! I've located my tag on the dash of my DC4. However, my # is 8031275. I've seen this same question asked of this model on 2 other forums, but nobody has posted an answer. (DC4 tag beginning with the digit "8") I've double checked it 4 times, the number is what's on the tag.

About the time the big 400 came out CASE changed the numbering sequence for serial numbers and went to 80xxxxx block of numbers. So you have one of the last DC's made. Not sure on years but late 54 as 400 came out in 55? Case nutty will have the exact years.

you have a 1954 ,,. either my ft clutcher SC has a 80 serial #, or my ft clutcher DC does ,,, but one of them has a 60 #

Also, the number on the tag should start with DC 80xxxxx.

you have a 1953 model

serial ranges for 1953 in my book are

5622406-5622744 total produced all models 339

80222746-8032411 total produced all models 9666

When were the ones beginning 60 (which is what mine is) made?

Glenn, the 60******* tractors were made in Rock Island Illinois.
