McCormick International 43 Baler

This may be a crazy question but why could I not put a receiver ball type hitch to pull my 43 baler? My hitch is all messed up with years of abuse. Thanks for your comments. Allen

You could weld a heavy duty coupler to the baler hitch and use a ball on the tractor hitch. I would probably use a 2 and 5/16 ball.

I think hooking up to a ball is harder, but they sure work good once you are hooked up. I have a double bar mower, and 2 dump rakes that use 2" balls.

The little lock part that holds the tongue down on the ball gets beat to trash quick on the cheap couplers. Then to add insult to injury you will find out it has been bent useless by the baler jumping off in the worst spot.Try to find a solid clasp or old cast u-haul type.Learned the hard way, good luck.
