Box Blade Rake

I am currently looking to purchase a 6.5' Box Blade and 7.0' Yard Rake, both 3 point hitch. Can anyone recommend brand, pro's and/or con's, options? I will be using both pieces of equipment behind a MF 165 dsl & Ford 3000 dsl. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Charlie

I like Bulher/Allied/Farm King products I used to be a dealer for them and sold many loaders/ blades/rakes ect, and never had a warrenty issue in 15 years, one thing I liked about them is they were designed and tested by farmers who owned the company not pushing their product just my opinion, I have a 7' rake and 7' blade I still use on my farm, they are not the cheapest out there but are good quality, I also really like the guage wheels, in the pic shown I am bladeing a road and have it set so the wheels are not really touching, I use it for spreading gravel and working roads I like it much better than a std blade for this application cnt

Phil,

I was thinking of a 7' box blade, but figured that might be to much for the 3000 Ford. The cost is not much different from 6.5' to a 7.0'. I have been told to look for a Heavy Duty box blade, with the thicker metal, extra supports on corners, & equipped with a blade inside & on the back side for pushing.

A friend let's me use his when I need it. He is always re-welding it & bending something on it. He is pretty rough on his tractors & equipment. He said I should make sure the box blade has the double plate for the lift arms. He says the standard pins bend & twist to easy.

I really like Case Nutty 1660 photo, guess the wheels keep everything level.

Thanks guys
