Ok,Tom and I were talking today on the phone, and discussing the post he did on radios, and both of us could not answer if Case offered a radio for the factory cab on the 30 series,as Tom said, they offered air conditioning,so,did they offer a radio? If so,any pics??

I have seen factory cabs on 9-1030's, did they offer them on other models? And radio's I have no idea. The first AC unit from CASE that I saw was on a 1470. Rod.

dealer hired this new guy (not me!) he was putting a radio in a 1470 he said this one played for a second then quit. another radio, it quit. 24 volt tractor 12 volt radio. duh (again it was not me) anybody else do that?

Dan,
We only sold one 930 with a factory cab. and it is still alive and well pulling it's weight here locally. We did however install a lot of Full Vision cabs. They were roomy, with lots of glass, and we put their radio kits and their box heaters in them. We never sold AC cabs until the 70 series, and they were limited until about 74 when the white tractors came out.

We bought a new 930CK when they came out with a factory cab with ac. It also had a radio. We bought it from Case Power and Equipment in Iowa Falls Iowa. I can not say for sure that it was not dealer installed. I say this because I was later hired by them at a later date to come to the dealership and charge dealer installed AC units after hours as I was farming and working at the Ford dealership, Brian

Where did they hang the compressor on a 930, there surely is'nt enough room under the hood, Rod.

hummn,,that makes e feel special,, LOL my 1970-71 , 1070 has factory air , ,hope to get it workin this year ..heater worx great !. never have tinkered with the aftermarket radio in the corner yet...

The compressor was the square Techumpseh (spelling) and was mounted high on the left side of the diesel engine under the hood. It used a special type of strechy belt and was a pain in the a?? to keep it from squealing. Brian

Brian, your chest must have really stuck out when the "930" came to the farm,I really think a "930" or "1030" with factory cabs were sure swell.
Do you know what happen to the tractor? Any pics?

Ande, Yes we were very proud as it was my first and only new trctor. Sorry to say we had to sell it on the farm sale in the 80's crush to save the farm. We had almost all Case equipment and it sold well. Yes, it did have a rear fuel tank, radio, heater and rear fuel tank. Brian

Do you remeber how the brackets were made to hold the compressor?

If someone has a picture of a 930 with Air please share it

I have a brochure form number A43467J that lists the options, field installed cultivating lights mounted on the front of the cab, rear view mirror, 12,500 BTU heater with fan. If you ordered your 930 or 1030 with the cab, then you got the 40 amp generator. It does not say anything about an A/C.

Brain, the 80s hurt alot of good farmers and dealers,I remember were paying 18% interest, and we tighten up,and hunkered down, and let a couple guys go,hated too but,we got them work so they didnt hurt to bad,I can remember not bringing home money, and living of my wifes school teaching job.
1988 came, and we ordered 3 new pickups! So it came around
Hope someday you can find the "1030" or one like her
I got my line on a "1031" that I sold years ago,but the fella that has it,likes it sitting in the shed right now!

Just had to post one

Brian, was there a pretty heavy floormat in the "1030"? And was it pretty noisey?

Ande, There was a fibre type material attached to a heavy rubber mat. Yes it was very noisy as we did a lot of custom work and spent long days and nights in the tractor. Gear noise mostly. My hearing has suffered. Still a great tractor. Brian

brokengun, sorry to say I don't remember how the compressor was mounted. I did not take any pictures and now I wish that I did. A scalper bought it and I think it went to Mn. Brian
