Still trying to wire my 830

I'm working everyday to reconstruct the wiring on my Case 830 fellas. I know this aint my strong point, but it's gotta be done. The wiring diagram in the IT manual leaves a lot to be desired for my old brain and old eyes, but I think I can figure most of it out.
A major hangup is the wiring to the starter and the generator. My starter has three posts, the larger one would be for the positive to the battery, the other two are labled "R" and "S".
The diagram in the manual is vague to me here. I know that a wire has to go to the positive side of the distributor, but can someone help me with a clearer (as in maybe BIGGER) diagram of what should happen with the starter? I'd be very grateful...slim

in general terms the s wire goes to the switch to operate the solenoid when you turn the key to the crank position. the r wire goes to the coil as when cranking to start you want full voltage but when running then coil should get voltage through a resistor to cut it back around 5-7 volts so it doesnt burn up. i dont have a diagram handy but thats the jist of it.
