Have this posted to the left but think I might response here. Has jp in small letters and T1936 for what I figured may be a part number. Case does have a part number of T1936 but it's a bracket. Has about 2 5/8 hex to it. Any idea's folks.

I just looked in my P T Rathbone wrench book. It is not a CASE wrench. When I get time I will look through the book & see if I can identify it for you. Gerald

That crossed W logo looks like a Westinghouse Air Brake logo like I see on old railroad brake equipment. I've seen them on locomotives that were in service into the 1950's (both steam and diesel).

I'd look at railroad equipment for this units origin.

I have this on good authority that this eight sided wrench was designed with the square nut in mind! The wrench is used with a hammer to tighten or loosen said And now you know the rest of the story!

Wow!, never knew there was so many types of wrenches. I'm still looking. Thanks for the web site.

Today I believe it to be a "missing doghouse roof nail installing device" aka " any wrench I'm just using it for a hammer "
