case dc hyd shaft seals

I have a 53 dc-3 eagle hitch and use a trip bucket loader in winter.I noticed a hyd.oil leak around tractor hyd. seal shafts.I ordered a repaire kit from john s.and would like to know if you can take apart the shafts with out removeing the pump from the back of the tractor as shown in the dealers service manual for the hyd.system .from looking at it I belive you could do it with no tear down just the shaft o- rings and felt washers and retaning seal on top am I missing anything or not? looks to be stright forward thanks Bob

Pump removal is not necessary, just follow the steps outlined on page 49 of the manual. Good luck.
