530 backhoe seat modification

I have a 1960 530 with a model 31 hoe, I hate the way the backhoe seat hits the back of your head when you are driving if you don’t fold it up, it is also a jungle gym to climb into and up onto the hoe and back down to the tractor. I was wondering how hard it would be to build a platform flush with the rear backhoe and put a swiveling seat into the middle of it. Then I could just swivel between digging and driving. I guess I would have to raise the steering wheel and pedals and put longer rods on the shifters… what do you guys think??

find you a seat off a 580CK or 580B, you will get the top cover for the rear end housing also but this replaced the two seat version of the 530 and will be a whole lot easier to do than the mods you are talking,, the seat will swivel around and also has different height adjustments all by stepping on a release lever cnt
