Removing Rear Rim From a 300

It is a 28" spinner rim, and I see two ways to do it. Either loosen the four forks all the way and slip the rim off that way, which works for the 38" rims on my 800, but things seem to tight on this rim. The other is to remove the carrier for the forks, two carrage bolts each, but the threads are too beaten up so as soon as they loosen a little, the carrage bolt spins. I can cut the nuts on the carrage bolts, but I thought I would see if anyone here had another suggestion. Thanks!

I would cut the nuts to get the jack screw assemblies out. Then you can pull the jack screws out,put them in a vice and break the nuts loose.
You will have everything in good shape for going back together then.
