The drainage tile we where installing needed to be between 3-4 ft deep. The HP requirements are not alot because you go very slow, low, low at about 13-1400 rpm's on both tractors. Now traction thats a different story. If one tractor stopped, they both did. This soil is so dry it does'nt hold power. The tires would spin down in the powder dry top soils even at that low RPM. We thought about adding the 1270 also but managed to complete the project with these two. Normally we would be fighting mud in these areas, but not this year. I'm glad this job is done, sooner or later it will rain again, won't it? Rod.

You look to be has dry as we are. Did you move the front end on your 13 with the kit that used to be around or did you come up with something on your own? If you did it yourself share your secret, I'd like to move the one on my 15 this winter.

I made a adapter out of 1 in. plate steel.and I think ended up moving it 10 in. forward. After field work is done I'll take a couple pics to show what I did, its not that hard to do. Been about 12 yrs, so I;ll have to refresh myself on what all got done. I like it and did the same to the 1270. Rod.

someday soon i hope!its real hard to stay optimistic with dust blowing everday.do you have to pull it slow to feed the tile threw? very sharp looking tractors.

Very slowly, it's also a good idea to have someone walk along and sort of lift the tile up so it feeds smoothly down the plow. My wife was doing that but refused to be in the pic. She would have nothing to do with driving a tractor when see seen them spinning out. Rod.

We had issues with the front pivot brackets here, on 7-1070s, especially if they had loaders on them. The axles and spindles were bullet proof, but the very limited osolation broke the bracket. We took a broken bracket to a local machine and fab shop. Like you they took 1" steel plate, turned out a pivot bearing support, which acepthe thr stock Case bushings, and welded them together at the proper angle. They did not extend the stops out to the end of the bracket so we had more osolation. We never had one of these fail, and they were cheaper than from Case. When the "extended wheelbase option" was made available we ordered all our 1370 and 90/94 series with them. Much better ride and drawbar performance. It took the Buck out of the Buckinghorse, and made it a real Workhorse.
