Got a Question ..did the 660 combine have a 188 or 207 diesel engine? , what tractors will the combine motor work ,fit in ?

188 Diesel, or early 660's used a 188 Gas, later 660's used the 201 Gas. Blocks all the same, and would drop in a 630.

Wouldn't it drop in anything originally manufactured with a 188 diesel including a 431, 531, 631, 470, 570 and 480, early 580CK prior to the B model? The tin would be too short on the 430, 470, 530 and 570 spark ignition models.

It would fit in a 641 (630 spark ignition) but there would be other issues like throttle linkages, fuel filter, flywheel and oil pressure gauge.

If I remember correctly the 188D was original equipment in some self-propelled windrowers and swathers as well.

Correct on all counts. CASE supplied a hood for the gas 430 470 530 570, & a longer diesel hood for the diesel 430 470 530 570, because the 188 is about 2" longer than the 148 & 159 gas.
