Identifying my majors age

I have recently purchased a very original looking E1A major but I can't fine any engine numbers apart from the block casting numbers also the front axle has E27N number on it so I am now unsure if I have stumbled on a very early model that used surplus axle or if it has been put together using correct parts any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Same axle was used on old majors and new majors.
Wheel weights also, except they later said En-Fo.
Should be a serial number plate on the firewall in front of the fuel tank. (Facing the engine)

The serial number is stamped on the flange behind the starter on early tractors as well as on the little plate on the firewall. There is also a casting code on the block between the dynamo and the front of the exhaust manifold.

All cast parts will have a code something like J14F which gives the month/day/year the parts were made. These give a good indication of the year of manufacture and also whether it is an original tractor or one made up of All Spare Parts.
