internal hose

I have a steel braided hose that came out of my '61 FSM but it has been 6 years since I tore the tractor apart and I Don't remember where it came from. The tractor has a 13" single clutch and the thrust bearing has a threaded hole on the top side. This suggest, in my mind, that the hose would attach there, but where does the other end go? It can't find a mention of the hose any where in the parts or service manuals. Anybody have a idea?

13" clutches usually had a grease "stuffer" externally and a flexible pipe from this to the thrust bearing hub. This was to lubricate the thrust bearing.

You should have a little knockout bung between the clutch shaft and the pulley plate on the right side. This is where the "stuffer" fits.
