Orange Fordson N with blue wheels 1938

I just posted a picture of my 1938 orange body tractor with blue wheels .These were this color for the dealers to use as demonstraters If you have one EM me to compare information .There can't be many this color .Mine has the original paint yet and was not painted any other color under neath George [email protected]

A 1938 Fordson should be all orange, body and wheels.

In 1940, there were worries that Hitler's Aircraft would find the orange tractor on green English fields a good target. Starting in 1940, Fordsons were painted green with orange wheels. This color scheme remained until the end of Dagenham production in June of 1945.

This is what make's these Tractors so rare .There was lot's of all orange tractors,But not many orange with the blue wheels .This tractor never had blue wheels and then painted blue .That is why I havn't painted it .I have over 250 antique machines .Alot of them are very rare ones .The RCAF Fordson ,I put a picture of it on also. It is the only one I know of here or in the UK

I heard of some rowcrops in PA that when they cleaned the tractor before painting the tractor was blue under the orange paint except for the steering and air cleaner parts which were upgrades for 1938 were just orange.

You are right that in the fall of 1937 they had to make some changes to the tractor to boost sales and for 1938 they painted the tractors all harvest gold "orange" . The difference with this tractor is that, they were normaly all orange but the demonstraters had the blue wheels .I have heard of another rowcrop one that was orange with blue wheels
