Thanks to all of you who came out to the 7th Michigan Shootout. This was the 2nd year out of seven that we had no rain to speak of. I do believe the entire group of WATA Remus pullers showed up. Not only were they very competitive, they worked their tails off helping us on the track. They also helped build a good track... twice. Once in the morning and later that night for the shootout. Initial hook numbers were estimated over 200 for the day pull and somewhere north of 80 for the evening. There were at least two or three dozen test hooks Friday night and likewise for the dead weight Sunday. That made this the biggest Michigan Shootout we've ever had. I'll announce the winners of the classes in a separate post soon but for now I know this: Stephen Scrauben Memorial 6000# for $500 was won by Clarence Strauss in a three way pulloff between himself, Thomas Benjamin, and Bernard Thelen. Congrats Clarence! Thanks again to all who came!
