Changing hydraulic oil on a 1650

Question on hydraulic oil change on a 1650. I know it has to be pumped out, but does it matter if I use one of the remote lines or should I use one of the ports on the hydraulic unit?

Also, is the PTO unit lubricated with gear oil from the trans or does it use hydraulic oil?

We have used a remote on our 2-70.

PTO is lubed from transmission.

You could buy one of those little pumps that go on an electric drill,drop a small hose in the fill hole and suck it out that way.

Just changed mine in a
1550. I used the port on the side as per the manual. Plastic barbed fitting and about 4' of cheap vinyl hose. Worked great, better than expected. Only ran the tractor for maybe 2 minutes. I do think a hyd outlet would work.
