66 hydraulic leak

working on my 66 after way too long sitting
last time I used it years ago the hydraulic was out of fluid. filled it up and drilled 17 acres of beans. next day fluid was way low again.
had been ok for about 3-4 years after I added the hydraulics to it.
have the unit off and no visible signs of a crack or leak. plan on hanging it up from the mow floor and filling it full then watching to see where it leaks out at.
anybody got any better ideas on how to check it or what to check on it?
series 2 without a filter
49 Oliver 66 grandpa bought it 1 year old and it has been in the family since.
plan on getting it running again in time to drill beans this year
thanks

A word to the wise. Install all 4 seals with the lip facing in, replace all 4 needle bearings, flush the unit and install a new filter if your unit has a filter.

O rings, seals and a cracked centerplate are the most likely places for a leak. Hanging the unit up is an inovative way to find a leak. Ina few cases, the centerplate will have a crack and it is difficult to see it as it can be a very small break.
I will have all the parts you need for this unit. six 0 8-21 four-385 two. Nick
