Hey guys got a 1942 john deere b that I am working on putting a 1951 block in it. I have welded 4 nuts into the 51 block to put some support so it ties into the frame. I ordered a .090 rebore kit from the this sites shop and a new valvetrain. I plan on using the tractor for doing chores and medium to heavy farmwork and the occasional tractor pull. I plan on getting the cam reground and resourfaced lifters so my question is where do you guys recomend getting the cam done at I am from North Branch MN area. Also would a competion grind on the camshaft help me or hurt me since the main use of the tractor would be plowing/ farmwork? Thanks guys

I have a more mild torque grind that I believe one would really like for what you are looking to do. Far better than stock but not over the top.
