Im looking for ideas for my farmall H I would like to use the H block I was wondering what combinations people are using I want to try and get 50+hp I will be runing 3mph at 3500lb class thank you guys in advavance.

Take out the sleeves and run custom pistons at 3.75" bore. Stroke to 5.5" or 5.75". You can use stock rods and shold come up to approximately 80 to 85 horse power and be reliable. Shoot for 12.5 to 13 to 1 compression. Cam ground by Bullet , good 300/350 head .

You can run a good set of custom pistons with a good dome to raise the compression and stock stroke with a good 300 head will get you over 50 hp.

Yes. At 5.125 you have to take the webbing out. Grind the neck out of the oil galley just shy of breaking thru, and cut the cam down to 1/2" thick. With an untouched stock.rod. not to mention small.areas on the pan rail.

You can take quite a bit off the stock rod for clearance so you don"t need to cut so far into the oil galley. Also cut flats in the cam so you keep it strong. 1/2" diameter on the cam is pretty small.

if you cut the rods just right, use a 350 IH rod journal, not a H journal, you can do 5.75 with only notching the cam and the bottom of the cyl walls, and not touch the webbing, or oil gallery at all. good luck.
