Putting a tank heater on a diesel 2-70 where should I put it. From the lower radiator hose to the block or to the thermostat housing. Any input Thank you

Yes I find that a lot of heat escapes through the rad.I have thought about doing the same,is there not a plug in the elbow where the top rad hose connects and the ather hose to to engine drain plug.

If you are want fast heat this is the way to go. Inlet on the heater is hooked to bottom of thermostat housing and outlet to the block drain. This reversed from normal installation instructions. This way forces the heat into the block where it's needed. I've had my 2-70 hooked this way for 25 years. (snow blower tractor)
