44 pistons or ?

What other pistons will fit in a 4inch 277,Can automobile pistons be bought for this application. If the head is milled can pushrods be gotten. I havnt seen much in the line of valve train parts.

OldMO -

You will not need new pushrods if you mill the head. There is plenty of adjustment in the rocker adjuster screws to take up ~ 0.170" of head milling. If you need more, than you put shims between the rocker stands and the head (do not forget the oil hole in #3). The change in valvetrain geometry is negligible...
