I'm looking for a nice original paint hood for a 1550. Actually, any real nice original paint sheet metal for 1550/55, 1650/55 and 66 & 77. I realize everybody is looking too, but thought I'd post to see if anyone had any they'd like to sell or trade. Thanks!
 
I'm guessing you are trying to match what is already on the tractor, but I thought I would throw out the idea of buying a new hood and side panels for your 15XX and 16XX?
 
Yes, I'm trying to keep a few particular tractors original. My 1550 has a patch in the hood over the exhaust. Looking for an original!
 
Something to keep in mind. The 1550 was available with both an oil bath and a dry air cleaner. So the hole for the air intake is in a different location. Also on the 1650 or 1655 (don't remember which) the location of the filler cap for the fuel tank changed so keep that in mind as well as the 15 series used the same fuel tanks..
 
is anyone making new tinwork for these? I would like to find a new hood for my 1655 without the exhaust hole in it.i need to move that hole to fit the turbo setup I have
 
Brad,

Yes, Dad and I carry new hoods for the 15XX and 16XX along with side panels. The hoods are blank with the exception of the radiator hole. There are way too many configurations to have specific hoods for each model of tractor. Send me an email with your number and I'll have Dad get in touch with you.
