I have a unstyle B and a a styled B would like to build one into a div 2T puller this winter which would be better what are the pros and cons thanks for the input

Styled b... 39 will be the lightest and can be made to look unstyled and you run the newer bigger blocks or bolt powerblock in. Low gear at 1513 i believe is rpm allowed hits 3mph easy and depending on engine size second gear is doable at 3mph, but chugging at 3mph. Unstyled case takes some bolt reloaction to put better blocks in cyclone head can be made to flow alot better than the unstyled flat head also.

I have a B built by Josh that has no lack for power.Hope to have video posted soon. Josh can give you my number if you want to talk about my set up. He also stands behind his work and takes care of any problems that might come along. Jason in N.Y.

Did Josh build you a B like the one that he pulled against in Sigourney Iowa a few years back or did he build you a bigger one?

If I had an Unstyled B to build a puller out of, I would unbolt the frame with everything ahead of the transmission case and bolt it to a 39-46 B. Then you get the later blocks and heads and still get the looks of the unstyled. The 39-40 is a 4 speed like the unstyled and the 41-46 is a 6 speed. The 39-46 is a little lighter than the 47-52, but the gears are a little faster. My 47 weighs a tick under 3200 with me on it. Many of the B's running around are 5.125" x 7.5", this will easily fit in either trans case. 5.125" is a Powerblock bored +0.125", I've sleeved to 5.375". If you're wanting to go really big, I'd go with the 47-52 as the transmission case is a little wider. For Div 2T, I'd think the 5.125" x 7.5-7.875" would be plenty.
