Has anyone ever heard of putting a mh 44 crankshaft in a farmall m?

Yes I have. I talked with a person once who stated that it would drop right in. When you look at the diamters of the crank and rod journals they are very close. The challenge comes in the areas of your rear and front main seals and the gear that drives the cam. I always thought about trying it with the Farmall M Rods and Frmall M pistons with the idea of taking enough off the pistons to not hit the head. The Farmall M connecting rod is wider. Without having yet tried it, (I am sure someday I will) I do believe that it would require significant machining and that just stroking the M crank would be easier. the H260 connecting rods are .5" shorter on center than a Farmall M. I am toying with using stock C-281 4.125" pistons on a 1" stroke with the H260 rods. The cid would be 334. The thing is that if I am going to pay to have a crank stroked then I might as well bore it to 4.375" with a 6" stroke buy the pistons and have 362 cid. Although what keeps me thinking about it is the question can it be made to work and the fun it would be to do so.
