Etown KY. 10-6-12. Be there!

One more time with more effort:
I've been beating the drum on this pull pretty hard and having just gotten back from Wisconsin with no data signal and for the most part I'm playing catch-up. Ill post the photos of those antiques and other classes today from Retreat, Wisconsin sometime.

Back to the pull: Menchofer sled; 4 added money classes; 4000 and 4500 3mph top cut; 5500 full cut 5 mph; and 6500 Open. Payout on those classes are as follows 200-100-50-50-25. Free framed 8x10 to each class winner--every class. The 6500 Open winner gets an invite to the Gordyville NA class in January. And one final thing to sweeten the pot. One of the winners of the added money classes will have an inset photo on the cover of a future HOOK. I'll determine how that puller is identified--as fairly as possible--before the pull.

As you can see I am heavily involved with this event and while I have been very careful to not assign The HOOK to an event this was one place where I drew the line. The promoter of this pull, Tim Hornback, has made this event a "go-to" event for the local community and regionally, as he has spent the time and finances to let the better part of the state about this show. I am pretty sure this could be the biggest pull ever in Etown, in terms of puller and spectator attendance-ever. His passion comes from the history he has with breast cancer as his wife Carolyn has fought it off and on for 14 years. While I have not had anyone as close as that deal with the disease, you see enough friends and family go through it, some cancer-free for years and unfortunately some didn't make it to the other side and are no longer with us. Knowing the antique pulling crowd I knew that given the opportunity to pull and support a good cause, you folks would respond. Given what I'm hearing and what I'm reading that indeed is true and I am personally grateful for that and thank you in advance. The weather looks to be pretty nice for Saturday with some rain forecast (20% chance) Friday, so we should be fine. Some new dirt has been hauled from what I've heard as well.

I hope to see everyone there and welcome you to come and pull. Thanks for your time and attention and for your support of this event.
