2-105 fuel problem

We are rebuilding a 2-105 that had a dash fire about 4 years ago on a cold winter night. It fried the dash but left the cab intact. We have installed a new dash and were having problems getting it to run for more than 5 or 10 seconds. Rebuild the injector pump at the local shop, installed a new transfer fuel pump. Now it runs for about 2-3 minutes and runs out of fuel. Runs really nice but we are starved for fuel and we are getting air. This one is equipped with the fuel fired glow plug. Would that be a problem? We are using a small nurse tank from a lawn mower to power it up and we are thinking of installing the regular tank. Kinda on wits end on this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure its getting fuel from that small tank and not catching air:just might not be a steady supply.

We hook the nurse tank to the regular fuel line with a hose and clamp. We have used this system many times in the past to test our tractors before installing the main tank. I will check to make sure the mechanic has the clamp on. The injector return line goes directly back to the fuel filters.

Why not try hooking it straight on the injector pump? if it runs then you would know your problem is between the tank and the pump????
