Cockshutt 1850 pto question

I recently picked up a '65 Cockshutt 1850 and I love the tractor. I noticed that when the tractor is in neutral and idling the pto spins slowly. Does anyone know what would cause this or how to fix it?[/b]

Very common issue, even the pto on my 1600 does it right after being rebuilt. I wouldn't worry about it. By the way- it's doing it when you're moving too, you just can't see it.

That's good to hear that it doesn't seem to be anything too major. I don't use the pto very often, two or three times a year, that's about it.
