1750 hydraulics....Ih 900 planter

Does a 1750 have enough hydraulics to run a ih 900 4 row planter? I can get a deal on the planter but it doesnt have the pto pump, Id have to run it with a tractor. Thanks

I ran a twelve row sprayer with a hydraulic motor on it with my 1750. The mechanic at the White dealership told me that I would be okay as long as I wasn"t doing a lot of acres. He told me that if I ran it constantly it could heat up. I never had any problems with it heating up however. The tractor was in excellent shape.

I think it would run it easy, our neighbor ran a Deere 8 row Deere on a 1650 for years.

Thats a good idea, I dont know why I didnt think of that. I'll do that when they open up this morning and post my findings.

My bet is that you are going to have problems with heat and in-sufficient oil flow to run the blower and lift it, I'd look for a pto pump.
