What are the internal differences in the 99 gas engine and the S88 engine. Will the S88 crank, cam, flywheel,and bellhousings interchange between these two engines?
 
Define what you mean by interchange? Do you have the specifications for each engine? I would guess not since you asked that questions? Let me guess you want to go pull.
 
The 99 motor is a 302 not a 320, the early 99 engines are a fair bit different than the later ones, the crank being one difference.
 
Are you comparing the Super 88 engine to a 99 engine or to a 320 cubic inch Waukesha? Also you need to know there are military standard versions of those engines that are different from the 302 or the 320 cubic inch engines.
 
I forgot to add there is also the oil field version which has a different crank and oils different, then there are also a few that have 7 main bearing crankshafts.
 
Well I have a super 88 engine that has been bored to far to be used. I got an email from a guy that told me he has a 320 engine and it is the super 99 gas engine. If that isn't correct then his information is incorrect. I know nothing about these engines so that's why I was asking.
 
Well like Gordy said the six cylinder 99 tractors did not use the 320, Howver the 302 (99 engine) and the 320 have a lot in common. You need to find more details. Also remember the 100 gas M-F tractors used the 320 engine. In simple terms the 302 has cylinder sleeves, the 320 does not.
 
7 main engines are illegal at most pulls for stock classes but many are used for b classes where only the same brand engines are required . good luck.
