Hi, does anyone know what the intake and exhaust valve recession is on a early 1650 with energy cells? haveing the head redone at a machine shop and they need to know, I seen the bulletan on the newer 1650 but I know the heads are differant, Thanks John

Where are you? I am taking my head, just like yours, to PennYan, NY. the previous owner of the machine shop knew just how to set up those Lenova heads. The new owner worked there many years, so I am hoping that he can set it up correctly. The local White dealer took heads there for years.

I'm in NW Ohio, I had the machine shop already do the presure test which came out ok, can you find out from your machine shop what to set the valves at? for some reason it is a hard spec to come by! Thanks John

The intake goes flush with the deck to I think 0.015 down. Zero is better.

J Schweibert says there is no spec on the exhaust but to set the stem height by the intake.

It's been a while but on the one I worked on the exhaust was already a bit shorter that the intake so I just had the seat cleaned up and left if alone. I won't sink a valve just to be sinking it. It worked fine before so I left it.

It's the best starting lanova I have ever seen. Of course it also got fresh sleeve assemblies, checked the pump out and new nozzles.

RT (partly my 2 cents.)

I am in Northwest Ohio as well. I have jury duty today. How can I contact you tomorrow? The 0.000 to 0.015 spec is not for a 1650.
