Oliver 1550 industrial backhoe

Does anyone know what motor is in this tractor. I have found one for sale, but it has a broken crank in it. I would like to consider buying this tractor but I would like to know what it will cost to get a crank.

j., that will take the same crank as a super77-770- 1555. some one will correct me if i'm wrong, chuck

Is this a diesel or a gas? If a diesel you can NOT use an early Super 77 gas crank as they are not hardened.

This was a gas engine. Would a running motor out of a 77 swap out in this frame?

j, i'm pretty sure it will bolt in, however if it is a stock 77 engine it will have about 15 horse power less than the 1550 engine. i would put the head, intake/exhaust manifold and carb from the 1550 engine to gain some of the lost horse power. just my thoughts, chuck
