I need info and specs on a Waukesha power unit engine. model 1356zu, 6 cyl gas, 4 3/8 stroke x 6" bore. It will be for sale shortly, soon as we get around to getting it running. It is a barn find in excellent condition, not stuck though not running for years. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I think you mean 135GZU, which you will have much better luck tracking down....and the normal spec is 4-3/8 x 5, which I interpret as 4-3/8" bore x 5" stroke. Translates to 451 CID.
Probably a very common engine..

I agree that it is probably a GZU on the end. We have a Gehl Chop-King with the same engine but the bearings are spun. Where are you located?

As mentioned this would be a 135 GZU. Waukesha did not make a 1356. Bore, stroke and cid as Tramway Guy mentioned. Many 1,000's 135s sold in the 50's, 60's and 70's. ~7,000 of the 135 GZ. The U means unit (with radiator and possibly CPTO)
