Any one know of a place to get a base/starter weight for an 880 i have a stack but no starter.I am assuming these are few and far between but if ya got one or know of one i would appreciate the lead.thanks

Hey Brad there was an 880 listed in the classifieds recently that was sold that had the starter and one stack weight. You might be able to trace thru the previous owner who owns this now and see if they want to sell it. I think the tractor was in Indiana.

Don't forget about any old combines. I picked some off of a combine not that long ago. He had some on a newer red White combine and some on the older green combines, were mounted on the rear axle. chris

There were 3 digit weights put onto combines? That I have not seen before... I have picked up 4 digit weights from combine axles before- always a nice find. Another thing I've seen a couple times is American series weights on 100 or Workhorse series tractors. Interesting what you find if you pay attention and know what your looking for!

I would never have thought to look at those.I might get lucky i know of a few around just sitting.thanks

I used the stater weight off my 1550 on my 770. It bolted on perfectly and I even used the stack weight off the 1550. I think it looks pretty good.

if you do cast some i would be interested i don't care if they are true originals. I just want the base and the one stack to protect the grill.I am not a big fan of the cow catchers that some people make for these,it covers up that pretty front end too much

I have front and rear wheel weights on my 550. Never have seen another set of front weights. They sure are handy. I have the cowcatcher on the front. Don't need anymore weight on it but I wonder if you could modify the cowcatcher to add a starter weight.
The front hitch on the cowcatcher sure is handy when I need to move wagons.

Someone is already making the stack and starter weights. Not cheap though. I think maybe in Wisconson.

(quoted from post at 04:09:44 04/05/11) I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT CASTING THEM NEW IRON AND ALUMINUM JUST DONT KNOW HOW MANY WOULD SELL.

Did you run an ad in Antique Power or somewhere about these weights? I talked to someone in Wisconsin from that ad. If I recall correctly, Oliver White and MM weights were either being made or going to be in iron and aluminum. Let me know if this is you or you company. Thanks
